Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Skylar is an email-native scheduling assistant operated by Brad Fry Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). Our service is available at ccskylar.com and via the email address skylar@ccskylar.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to schedule meetings on your behalf:

• Email content on threads where Skylar is CC'd. We read the subject, body, sender, and recipients of emails in threads where you have explicitly included Skylar. We do not access any other emails in your inbox.
• Calendar free/busy data (optional). If you or your guest choose to connect a calendar, we request read-only access to free/busy information — not event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other calendar detail. This access can be revoked at any time.
• Email addresses and names. We store the email addresses and display names of participants in scheduling threads to facilitate communication.
• Scheduling preferences. If you configure preferences (timezone, working hours, default meeting duration), we store these to improve future scheduling.

3. What we do not collect

• We do not read emails where Skylar is not CC'd.
• We do not read calendar event titles, descriptions, or attendee lists.
• We do not collect payment information (the service is currently free).
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels on our website.
• We do not collect device fingerprints or browsing behaviour.

4. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Parse scheduling requests from email threads.
• Find available meeting times by comparing free/busy information.
• Send scheduling emails and calendar invites on your behalf.
• Apply your saved preferences to future scheduling requests.

5. AI processing

Skylar uses AI language models to understand scheduling requests and draft replies. Email content from threads where Skylar is CC'd is sent to our AI providers for processing. This content is:

• Not used to train AI models.
• Not stored by our AI providers beyond the duration of the request.
• Not shared with any third party for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Data is shared only with:

• AI providers (for natural language processing of scheduling requests, as described above).
• Email infrastructure providers (to send and receive emails on your behalf).
• Calendar providers (Google, Microsoft) when you explicitly grant free/busy access.

7. Data retention

Email thread data is retained for the duration of the scheduling process and for up to 90 days after a meeting is booked or a thread is cancelled, to allow for rescheduling. After this period, thread data is deleted. Scheduling preferences are retained until you ask us to delete them.

8. Calendar access and revocation

Calendar connections use OAuth 2.0 and request only the calendar.freebusy scope — the minimum permission needed to check availability. We cannot read, create, modify, or delete calendar events. You can revoke Skylar's access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account security settings, or by emailing us.

9. Data security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. Magic links are single-use and time-limited. We follow industry-standard security practices including input sanitisation, rate limiting, and transport authentication verification (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Revoke calendar access at any time.
• Stop using the service at any time by simply not CC'ing Skylar.

11. Children

Skylar is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
